EQUINE MELANOMA AND GENETICS IN GREY HORSES
DECEMBER 2017-APRIL 2018
This was a research project I did for both Animal Breeding and Genetics as well as my final Senior Seminar Project. Equine Melanoma is a subject I am very passionate about, Melanoma in grey horses is an excellent model for studying the inheritance of traits with complex genetic backgrounds. During this project I had to balance working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines. This experience really made me realize how powerful it feels to bring a specific skillset to a project as a professional in my field.
CAMPUS CONNECT - COMMUNICATIONS PROJECT
JANUARY 2017 - APRIL 2017
This project consisted of working with a team of two other students. We were required to create a company that would help improve life on campus. Campus Connect is a student application that allows you to personalize the way you view events on campus as well as making it easy to connect with other students. AGRICULTURAL MARKETING AND MERCHANDISING - PONY EXPRESS
JANUARY 2018 - MAY 2018
I really enjoyed working on this project, one of the bigger ones in my final semester. It gave me an opportunity to be creative and do things a little outside of the box. I also had to push myself to meet tight deadlines. This project required me to develop my own agricultural business and present it to the head chair of the Animal Science department at the University of Findlay. I’m proud of the work I did on this marketing project and would love to discuss it with you in more detail.
